With the car on the island
The town of Borkum provides chargeable car parks. These include the car parks "Oppermannspad" (north of the town centre), "Ankerstraße" (south of the town centre) and "Upholmstraße" (east of the town centre). The charges are €5 per day. Short-term parkers can park for 1,- € per hour. For long-term parkers, the monthly fee is €90 or the annual fee is €150. Electric cars are no longer exempt from the parking fee. The "Am Langen Wasser" car park has a special status. This car park was renovated with funding from the village renewal programme and may not be subject to charges for a certain period of time due to funding regulations.
